Behind The Fragrance
Over the past few years, I have found myself really drawn to essential oils. What started as a simple interest quickly grew into something much bigger. The more I explored different blends and scents, the more I realised there was a story behind what I was searching for.
A story connected to the ocean, nature and all the places that make me feel most alive.
That is where this fragrance began.
The scent itself comes from those moments: the stillness of the ocean, the clarity of waterfalls, the warmth of the sun and the feeling of being completely present outdoors. When I tried to express what I love and what inspires me, it all came through in the fragrance. I would describe it as refreshing, clean and almost endless. Something that invites you to explore, not just smell.
What I love most about the final result is that it is exactly what I set out to create. It feels like me. The process of making it, the people involved, the attention to detail and the way each layer means something, gave the fragrance a story within a story.
There were moments during development where I experimented with different notes. I considered adding bergamot, but it pushed things too far into the floral side. I wanted to keep the scent woody, grounded and genuinely unisex. That is why the hero of this blend ended up being Australian Western Sandalwood. Bringing in Australian notes felt right. The more of them I included, the more the scent aligned with who I am and what I wanted to share.
One of the moments that has stayed with me is how naturally the whole journey unfolded. I walked in looking for essential oils, met someone who understood what I was trying to express, and from there this fragrance took shape. Being able to communicate my journey, where I have been, what I have learnt and what I love through scent has been something special.
And this is only the beginning.
I will definitely be creating more fragrances. I have more stories to tell and more journeys ahead, and I want each scent to feel like a chapter that people can connect with just as I do. For me, fragrance is almost like a journal. Every blend holds a memory, a feeling and a moment in time.
