What I’m Carrying Into 2026 (And What I’m Leaving Behind)

What I’m Carrying Into 2026 (And What I’m Leaving Behind)

As I step into 2026, a lot feels clearer than it ever has before. More than anything, my sense of purpose has sharpened. My health, my presence and the way I show up for my daughter sit at the centre of my life.
That clarity has shaped the way I think about the future and the kind of energy I want to bring into it.

The habits and routines that are keeping me grounded as I enter the new year are simple, but they matter.
Staying present, taking care of my health and approaching each day with intention have become non negotiables. I try to close each day by ticking off what needs to be done, letting go of what can wait, and going to bed with a clear, settled mind so I can start fresh the next morning.

Looking ahead, I want to carry more gratitude into my life, both personally and professionally. Gratitude for who I am, for what I have done, and for the life I have built. I am learning to acknowledge that journey and give myself credit, rather than constantly pushing forward without pausing to reflect.

There are also things I am consciously leaving behind - I am letting go of the constant pressure to prove myself, to meet expectations that are no longer mine, and to measure success by what comes next rather than what is already here. I am content with what I have achieved and what I have been able to provide for my daughter, and that contentment has shifted everything. It has allowed me to release unnecessary pressure and move forward with more empathy, clarity and confidence in who I am.

One of the things I am most excited to lean into in 2026 is education, particularly around ocean conservation.
I want to learn as much as I can about projects around the world that are making a real impact. It brings me back into the water, which has always been where I feel most at home, and it connects deeply to the values I want to pass on.

As my work continues to evolve, I want my stories and projects to feel authentic, real and engaging. Purpose now sits at the heart of every decision I make.
For me, it is about creating something meaningful, something that leaves a legacy my daughter can look to and learn from. I want to set an example through how I live, not just through what I say.

If I had to describe the shift I am making as I step into 2026, it is about focus.
Holding onto one thing at a time and giving it my full attention. Showing up fully, committing wholeheartedly and doing the work with intention.

I’m stepping into this next year feeling grounded, grateful and genuinely excited for what’s ahead, ready to embrace the journey as it unfolds.
